Booking and Quotes
All quotes provided by On The Move Removals are estimates based on the information you supply. Final pricing may vary if the actual volume, access difficulties, or additional services differ from what was originally described. A booking is confirmed once you accept our quote in writing (including via email, text, or WhatsApp) and we confirm the date.
Your Responsibilities
As the customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the items to be moved, access to properties, and any parking restrictions.
- Ensure that all items are ready and accessible on the agreed moving date.
- Disconnect and prepare appliances (washing machines, cookers, etc.) before we arrive, unless otherwise arranged.
- Inform us of any fragile, high-value, or hazardous items in advance.
- Ensure adequate parking and clear access at both the collection and delivery addresses.
Our Responsibilities
On The Move Removals agrees to:
- Arrive at the agreed time and carry out the move with reasonable care and skill.
- Handle your belongings with care, using appropriate wrapping and protection.
- Provide a professional, uniformed team with well-maintained vehicles.
- Maintain valid insurance cover for every move we undertake.
Insurance
Every move includes £10,000 goods-in-transit insurance per van and £1,000,000 public liability cover. Claims must be reported within 7 days of the move. We are not liable for damage caused by insufficient packing carried out by the customer, or for items of extraordinary value not declared before the move.
Payment
Payment is due on the day of the move unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance. We accept bank transfer, cash, and major debit/credit cards. For long-distance or large moves, a deposit may be required at the time of booking.
Cancellations and Changes
You may cancel or reschedule your move free of charge with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover lost scheduling. If we need to cancel or reschedule due to circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, vehicle breakdown, etc.), we will offer the nearest available alternative date.
Storage
If you use our storage facilities, items are stored at your own risk beyond the cover provided by our standard insurance. Storage fees are payable monthly in advance. We reserve the right to dispose of items that remain uncollected for more than 90 days after the end of your storage agreement, provided we have made reasonable attempts to contact you.
Complaints
We take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 14 days. We will investigate and respond within 5 working days. Our aim is always to resolve issues fairly and promptly.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
